Uness University in Indonesia
State University of Semarang (UNNES) is a public university organized by the Ministry of Education to conduct academic and professional education in several disciplines of science, technology, sports, arts, and culture.
UNNES has stood since 1965 in Semarang, old city is the provincial capital of Central Java. With seven colleges and one graduate program, currently educating UNNES not less than 22,000 students are scattered in the levels of courses Diploma, Bachelor, and Graduate.
The history of Semarang State University who formerly named IKIP Semarang has begun with the establishment of teacher education institutions in the SMTA. Teacher education institutions are: Middelbaar Onderwijzer A Cursus (MO-A) and B Onderwijzer Middelbaar Cursus (MO-B). Both are educational institutions which are prepared by the Dutch colonial government that aims to prepare teachers SMTP and SMTA. Course MO MO-A and-B was held in Semarang until the year 1950. Government Regulation No. 41/1950, MO-A Course be Course BI and MO-B Course Course B-II be held until the year 1960.
Furthermore Unnes developments can be seen from the following stages.
1. Period 1960-1963: Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) and High School Sports (STO)
Date of January 1, 1961, by Decree of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Education, Teaching Culture No. dab. 108 487 / S dated December 27, 1960, BI Course and Course B-II integrated into a Diponegoro University Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP). In 1963, the Department of Physical Education which was originally part of the Course B-II split into High School Sports (STO), which stood alone under the Ministry of Sports. The change was based on Ministerial Decree No. 23 Year 1963 Sports April 19, 1963.
2. Period 1963-1965: Institute of Teacher Training and Education (Teachers' Training College), Yogyakarta, Semarang branch
While FKIP Undip implement programs within the structure of the Ministry of Higher Education and Science (PTIP), in the year 1962 by the Ministry of Basic Education and Teaching (PD & C) was established institutions also the education of teachers new, namely Instiut Teacher Education (IPG) with functions and FKIP the same goal. To avoid dualism in pendiidkan teacher education level is high, with Presidential Decree No. 1 / 1963 dated January 3, 1963, brings together a IKIP FKIP and IPG which is equivalent to a university within the Department of PTIP. On the basis of Presidential Decree, the Ministry of mendiirkan PTIP PTIP IKIP through Ministerial Decree No. 55 year 1963 dated May 22, 1963. As a follow-up diterbitkanlah Decision PTIP Bersma Minister and Minister of the PD & K No. 32 years old in 1964, dated May 4, 1964 regarding the unification FKIP and IPG in Jakarta, Bandung, Malang and Yogyakarta to the Teachers' Training College. With the merger, and IPG FKIP become IKIP, while FKIP Undip, and FKIP Undip assessed Surakarta branch can not stand alone, then exit PTIP Ministerial Decree No. 35 In 1964 dated May 4, 1964 that set: Diponegoro FKIP become IKIP Yogyakarta and Semarang branch FKIP Undip IKIP Yogyakarta branch to branch Surakarta Surakarta.
3. Period 1965-1999: IKIP Semarang
IKIP Semarabg Yogyakarta branch was growing rapidly. In order to better focus its development in the future, pending the Presidential Decree, the Minister issued a Ministerial Decree PTIP PTIP No. 40 year 1965 dated March 8, 1965, which sets IKIP become IKIP Yogyakarta, Semarang, Semarang branch consisting of the Faculty of Education, Faculty of Literature and Art Teaching, and Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Science Teacher Training exact sciences, and the Teaching Faculty of Engineering. Furthermore, the establishment of Teachers' Training College of Semarang was strengthened by Presidential Decree No. 271 1965 September 14, 1965.
Through the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 042/O/77 dated February 22, 1977 teacher education program in the sport back to its parent in a new container called the Teaching Faculty of Sport Science (FKIK).
Based on Presidential Decree No. 52/1982, Semarang Teachers' Training College has six faculties: the Faculty of Education, Faculty of Education Language and Arts, Faculty of Social Sciences Education, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Technology and Vocational Education, and Faculty of Physical Education and Health.
4. Period 1999-2007: State University of Semarang (Unnes)
With the publication of the presidential Decree Number 124 Year 1999 about changes IKIP Semarang, Bandung and Medan to university, then called the Teachers' Training College, State University of Semarang, Semarang, which is abbreviated Unnes. Based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 278/O/1999 about the organization and working procedures and No. Unnes. 255/O/2000 tengang Unnes statute, the names of the faculty at Unnes environment are: the Faculty of Education, Faculty of Languages and Arts, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Sport Science, and Graduate Program.
Under license from the Directorate General for Higher Education No. 1850/D/T/2006, dated June 6, 2006 and the Decree of the Rector Unnes 59/O/2006 number dated June 8, 2006, stand Faculty of Economics (Self), established on June 29, 2006 by the Rector Unnes.
Under license from the Directorate General for Higher Education No. .../D/T/2007, Dated ... the Faculty of Law was established, which was inaugurated by the Rector Unnes Unnes on December 14, 2007.
